Short intense rain spells lashed several parts of the city on Sunday evening, starting in Gachibowli, Hitec City, Lingampally, Khajaguda, and Nanakramguda in the west and then covering Shaikpet, Filmnagar, Manikonda, Toli Chowki, Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Mehdipatnam, Golconda, Langer Houz, Nanalnagar, Attapur, Rajendranagar, Aramghar, and the Old City.

Late evening rains and thunderstorms covered Alwal, Tarnaka, Secunderabad, Moula Ali, Malkajgiri, Trimulgherry, Boduppal, Habsiguda, Bolaram, Nacharam, Narapally, Ghatkesar and Suchitra.

Elsewhere, Adilabad, Jagtial,



Kamareddy, Karimnagar, Khammam, Komaram Bheem, Mancherial, Medak, Medchal, Nalgonda, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Rajanna Sircilla, Rangareddy, Sangareddy, Siddipet, Suryapet and Vikarabad districts reported rain.

The highest rainfall in the city was in Rajendranagar at 13 mm while in the state Mulugu district recorded 61 mm, as per the Telangana Development and Planning Society.

IMD said that a trough running from Jharkhand to a cyclonic circulation over south-central Maharashtra and the neighbourhood was causing the rain,
