Hyderabad: The Hyderabad International Airport has introduced vending machines to dispense sanitary napkins. An initiative launched under the airport’s signature passenger-centric programme –‘Passenger is Prime’, the move was in connection with International Women’s Day.
The vending machines are installed in 26 women’s washrooms
at various levels both in the domestic and international areas of the terminal building. They are coin-operated vending machines and users need to insert one Rs 5 coin for each napkin.
Incinerator machines have also been installed to hygienically dispose the used napkins. The airport housekeeping team is assisting for this facility.
