Hyderabad man dies in road accident in US

A man from the Hyderabad died after being hit by a car in Chicago in United States on Saturday.

Mohd Moizuddin (33), a resident of Tappachabutra and hailing from Sangareddy district had gone to the United States few years ago to pursue his studies. Later he started working there.

“Moizuddin was standing after getting down from his car when another car coming in the wrong route hit his car resulting in serious injuries and subsequent death,” said Khaja Moinuddin, father of Moizuddin.

Moizuddin had come to the city last September and got married. The couple later shifted to the US and have a child. The family received the information



about the tragedy late in the night. 

The family sought help from Telangana government, Union Ministry of External Affairs and the US Consulate officials to help in getting an emergency visa to reach the US. The family is planning to perform the last rites in US itself.

“The consulate is in touch with the family and will extend necessary help.” The family will be submitting the documents and applying for the visa on Monday.

On the other hand a group of NRIs in Chicago started a ‘GoFundMe’ campaign to collect donations for the family. A target of USD 250,000 was set by the organizers.
