Hyderabad Metro stations offers way for pedestrians

The citizens can now access the Metro Stations and use the staircases and escalators free of cost for crossing roads. Municipal Administration Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar on Wednesday inspected the works in Yousufguda, Srinagar Colony and SR Nagar localities and issued instructions to the officials. 

Kumar said the metro stations are at a distance of one km between each station. The public can use the metro



stations which have lift and escalator facilities free of cost for crossing the roads, he said.

Kumar suggested opening up HMRL medians for pedestrian crossing. Junction improvements at all the pedestrian crossings at Punjagutta, Srinagar Colony, Ameerpet, SR Nagar, Yerragadda, Kukatpally- Y- Junction, KPHB would be taken up for which the architect has been asked to come up with different models.
