The Hyderabad metro is likely to run trains till late midnight based on the rush, said director NVS Reddy in wake of Ganesh idol immersion.
The metro runs the last train at 10.30 pm from Miyapur and LB Nagar. However, the timings will be extended on the passenger's need.
Meanwhile, the metro patronage is expected to rise on the nimarjan day as the passengers'
throng to Khairatabad Ganesh to get a last glimpse of the gigantic idol.
To ensure trouble-free travel to the commuters witnessing the immersion process, the metro has taken the decision. On the other hand, all the routes leading to tank bund were closed for the motorists. They are advised to take alternate routes avoiding the traffic jams.
