City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar handed over 56 mobile phones, together worth Rs 8 lakh to the owners on Monday.
The owners had lodged complaints on the Hawk-Eye app after they lost the devices. The police tracked them using technology and returned them to the owners. “So far the
IT cell of the Hyderabad Police has tracked down 565 mobile phones and handed them back to owners,” Anjani Kumar said.
Hawk-Eye facilitates people to register reports on the loss of mobile phones. The app was launched in 2015 to help people easily approach the city police.
