Hyderabad: The West Zone Task Force raided Hydrogen – Lounge Bar pub on Road Number 2, Banjara Hills near Jubilee Hills Check Post late on Wednesday night and found that a ‘mujra’ dance party was being organized there. Eleven persons, including the organizer, were held. Seven women dancers found at the spot were rescued.
Following an alert, the team under the supervision of Task Force Inspector Raja Venkat Reddy had raided the premises. The arrested were identified as Mohammed Mashak, organizer from Bandlaguda; Raheman from Nampally; Ahmed Sayeed; Ahmed Bin Omer; Salam, all three from Barkas; Abdul Waseem from Mallepalli; Firdous Khan
from Aghapura; Sahil alias Jameel from Mehdipatnam; Abdul Mujeeb and Mohammed Nadeem from Nampally and Mohammed Habeeb from Habeen Nagar.
Police said, seven bar dancers, three from Tolichowki, three from Mumbai and one from Borabanda, were found dancing and entertaining the customers. They were rescued. Police also arrested Padmanabhan, the pub manager, for allowing the ‘mujra’ party.
Officials seized over Rs.4,000, all in ten rupee currency notes and 100 Qatar Riyals from their possession. All of them, along with the seized material, were handed over to the Jubilee Hills police for further action.
