The Hyderabad city witnessed heavy rains on Monday night with average rainfall recorded in the GHMC area standing at 19.2 mm.

Several localities in the city, including Marredpally, Vanasthalipuram, Secunderabad and Musheerabad received heavy rains overnight.
Hayathnagar received the maximum rainfall of 51 mm, followed by West Marredpally, which witnessed 47.3 mm rain. Uppal, Rajendranagar, Khairatabad, Asifnagar and Kapra also experienced moderate rains.

According to the



forecast by Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, the city will witness cloudy sky throughout the day, accompanied with light showers at isolated places, for the next few days.

Many districts across Telangana also received heavy rainfall on Wednesday night. The highest rainfall of 13.6 mm was recorded in Kodandapur, Jogulamba Gadwal. Other districts, including Kamareddy, Nirmal, Kumuram Bheem, Mulugu, Jagtial and Bhadradri Kothagudem also witnessed light rainfall
