Hyderabad records light rainfall

The Hyderabad received light rainfall on Wednesday evening, bringing much relief for citizens. According to Telangana State Development Planning Society, Banjara Hills, Begumpet, Jubilee Hills, Srinagar Colony etc., received light rainfall. However, the rain also led to traffic snarls, especially on the road leading from Road No. 2, Banjara Hills to Punjagutta.

In the 24-hour period



starting 8.30am on Tuesday, Chandulal Baradari, Viratnagar, Bandlaguda, Asifnagar, Sardarmahal, Nampally, and Amberpet received light rainfall. IMD, Hyderabad, officials attributed the rainfall to merger of an upper air cyclonic circulation over northwest Bay of Bengal with another circulation over Bangladesh and adjoining gangetic West Bengal tilting southwest wards.
