Hyderabad records moderate rainfall

Sudden rains caused to a low depression in Bay of Bengal brought the city to a halt with the people getting stuck in traffic jams. Hyderabad  witnessed light to moderate rains on Thursday evening. 

A few areas like Alwal received heavy rainfall while it was drizzling in some areas. Roads in the city left water logged throwing the life of the people out of gear. Some areas in the also suffering from power



outage.

According to a weather official, the rainfall occurred due to the depression moving from Chhattisgarh to Karnataka crossing Telangana. Meanwhile, the rains also got some areas in Telangana with Ramagundam in Karimnagar receiving maximum rainfall.

The temperature in the state further slipped down by 5-6 per cent with the unexpected rainfall.
