Sudden showers, accompanied by thunder and lighting, brought respite from the hot weather in Hyderabad city on Friday. Similar conditions are expected to prevail in the city for the next two days.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), rain or thundershowers would occur towards evening or night in the city during the weekend. The temperature would hover between 40 degree Celsius and 41 degree Celsius.
The city reeled under severe humid conditions with temperature
soarin up to 42 degree Celsius. Qutbullahpur recorded the highest temperature of 42.2 degree Celsius followed by Musheerabad at 42.1 degree Celsius and Bandlaguda at 41.8 degree Celsius, according to the Telangana State Development Planning Society.
The average temperature in the city recorded by the IMD was 39.9 degree. A North-South trough is running across Karnataka due to which rain and thundershower could occur at one or two places in Telangana.
