The minimum temperature continued to fall in Hyderabad, with several parts in the city experiencing sub-10 degree temperatures on Tuesday night. The chill remained through the day on Wednesday as well.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, the city recorded a minimum temperature of 9.3 degree Celsius on Tuesday night. In the span of two days, night temperatures have plummeted by 7.8 degree Celsius, keeping the city literally under the blankets.
If the temperature on Sunday night was 17.1 degree Celsius, it dipped to 12.8 degree Celsius on Monday night and on Tuesday night, to 9.3
degree Celsius.
“Temperatures this week are likely to remain below normal across the city,” IMD officials said.
Data from the Telangana State Planning Development Society during the last 24 hours shows that Pashamylaram recorded lowest temperature of 6.8 degrees followed by BHEL (7.3 degrees), Bolaram (8.8 degrees) and Uppal (9.1 degrees) on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile the IMD forecast said there would be fog/mist in the mornings and mainly clear skies later in the next four days with the minimum temperatures hovering around 12 to 13 degree Celsius.
