Hyderabad Speed Post Hub goes live

K. Ramulu, Member, National Commission for Scheduled Castes launched Core System Integrator (CSI) operations at the National Speed Post Sorting Hub located at old Airport premises in Begumpet Hyderabad on 06.02.2018. Hyderabad is the first Metro Hub in the country to go live on C.S.I.

After the inauguration, K. Ramulu expressed confidence that the new CSI software will result in faster and reliable delivery and tracking of Speed Post letters and parcels across the country in general and particularly in twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

Currently, about 25,200 Speed Post articles are getting delivered through 106 Post Offices through 1122 postmen, daily in twin cities with a delivery efficiency of about 90%. The new software will help in increasing the delivery efficiency to more than 90% on sustainable basis. 

It will also bring



accountability and transparency by providing point to point tracking scans from the stage of booking to final delivery. The new software will also help in instant updation of delivery effected through Post Offices.

The Member appreciated the free pickup services provided to the bulk users like Passport, Driving Licenses, ATM cards, Cheque books, Student study materials and for using all available Air lines including private airlines for providing expeditious air lift to Speed Post articles. 

The Begumpet Hub provides 24 hours booking facility to public.
Dr. P.V.S.Reddy, Postmaster General, HQ Region informed that the new software will assist in handling Postal public grievances on social media portals like Twitter, Facebook by providing updated and reliable track and trace service to all Speed Post letters and parcels.
