Hyderabad: A TSRTC bus went missing from Central Bus Station (CBS) on Wednesday morning. The driver of the bus was in shock when he found the bus missing after he woke up on Wednesday.
As reported by the Hindu, the Metro Express bus from the Kushaiguda depot plies the 3K route, between ECIL and Gowliguda.
The report stated that driver J Venkatesh was on nightout duty and had parked the bus at the CBS around 11.30 p.m. after his duty was over and went to crew rest room. He had to begin his duty around 5
a.m. on Wednesday. But he woke up in the morning only to find that the bus was missing.
He informed his superiors who in turn filed a complaint at the Afzalgunj police station. According to sources, unlike new buses which are started by key ignition, the Metro Express bus can be started by means of a starter switch.
TSRTC has alerted the Commissioner of Police as well as the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Two teams have been set up to locate the missing bus. CCTV footage is also being analysed.
