The Met department has forecasted moderate to heavy rain in the city over the week and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has mobilised teams to prevent waterlogging.
Steady spells of rain from early morning on Sunday resulted in maximum temperature standing at 27.2 degree Celsius and minimum temperature at 22.1 degree Celsius. Waterlogging was reported from many parts of the city and GHMC pressed emergency teams into
service to clear the city streets.
“While we have issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in many districts of Telangana, Hyderabad will continue to see rain over the next two days with a cloudy sky. But towards the latter half of the week, the thundershowers could hit Hyderabad during the evening or at night,” said a senior India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, official.
