The city police commissionerate said on Sunday that in coordination with the Hyderabad City Security Council (HCSC) it would be hosting the Hyderabad Annual Cybersecurity Knowledge (HACK) summit on April 12.

This event will bring together industry experts, government officials and thought leaders to discuss the state of cybersecurity threats and strategies for building talent to counter them, and addressing skill gaps in the field.

Hyderabad police commissioner of police C.V.  Anand, who is the HCSC chairman, said, “Cybercrime, the new endemic, has infiltrated every aspect of our society now more than ever.” He



added: “With advanced tools we must unite and commit to being vigilant and informed citizens and businesses.”

Anand said the summit would be an opportunity for professionals and experts from different fields to come together and address the pressing challenges in cybersecurity.

Santosh Kaveti, joint secretary for cyber forum, said the forum planned to launch monthly business connects, a series of short films to promote awareness in the community.

Those attending the summit include ministers K.T. Rama Rao and Mohd. Mahmood Ali, Anand said.
