The fifth edition of August Fest, one of the longest running startup festivals in India, will be held in Hyderabad on August 26 and 27. This year, it will focus on sport and will invite speakers from the arena. It will also focus startup companies that are working to offer solutions. The event is supported by Government of Telangana.
Addressing a press
conference here on Tuesday, Industries Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan said the event in the past four editions has helped many a startup to scale up, find an investor or partners. “Hyderabad boasts about presence of about 2,500 startups across sectors. This will be a pull factor for the investor community to look at Hyderabad,” he said.
