Hyderabad to receive light rains this week

Hyderabad received normal rainfall in the month of June and is expected to receive light rainfall throughout first week of July, according to India Meteorological Department (IMD).

For the last three days, blanket of clouds have been covering city, thus making the weather conditions pleasant. Though there was intermittent drizzle reported, it did not turn into showers.

According to IMD officials, parts of Northern Telangana were expected to record heavy rainfall



this week while light rainfall was forecast for Hyderabad. On Monday night, city received a rainfall on 1.7 mm.

The present monsoon conditions over the State suggest light to moderate rain at many places with heavy rainfall at isolated places, mainly over north districts, for next two days. There could be light to moderate rains at a few places for next three days in Greater Hyderabad, according to Telangana State Development Planning Society.
