Hyderabad: Parts of the city experienced short intense scattered rain spells on Tuesday early afternoon while the rest of the day remained hot and humid.
Areas of Nanakramguda, Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Hitec City, Punjagutta, Gachibowli, Rajendranagar, Manikonda, parts of Old City, Tank Bund, Serilingampally, Shaikpet, Amberpet, Namapally, Uppal, Asifnagar, and nearby areas experienced moderate rain for about half an hour.
Moderate rain and thundershower were also recorded at isolated places in the districts of Jangaon, Mahbubabad, Warangal, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Nalgonda, Ranga Reddy, Suryapet, Hanamkonda and Yadadri Bhuvangiri.
Warangal recorded a rainfall of 49.3 mm,
followed by Mahbubabad at 32.3 mm and Nalgonda at 30.8 mm in the state, whereas city limits had a rainfall of 8.5 mm in Balanagar, 8 mm at Serilingampally and 5.5 mm at Amberpet.
As per the IMD, weather systems of low pressure area and cyclonic circulations had subsided and low-level westerly and north-westerly winds prevailed over the state.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower are likely to occur at isolated places in the state for the next five days as per the weather forecast.
Over the next 48 hours, the city will continue to experience light rains or drizzles with hazy mornings and windy weather with a wind speed of 6-10 kmph.
