Hyderabad traffic police held a meeting with motor cab operators and union leaders of motor cab vehicles associations operating through app-based platforms, in connection with the safety and security of passengers.

Rahul Hegde, DCP Traffic-I, Hyderabad, said that all vehicles be registered and the data of drivers should be updated.

He also sensitised them on cancellation of rides, misbehaving with customers, drunken driving, no parking violation and



free left violation. Hedge advised cab providers to verify the antecedents of the drivers before employing them and a database of the drivers should be maintained to use in case of an emergency.

The members complained of lack of parking places, facilities at MNCs, airport, bus stands and railway stations. Officials said they could air their grievances at a joint meeting that would be held with the departments concerned.
