The Hyderabad Traffic Police said they will take up a special drive against use of black films, sirens and multi-toned horns for a period of three weeks, starting from February 2.
Police officials said that though there was legal prohibition, many motorists were still using the tinted glass or black films, sirens, multi-toned and musical horns posing threat to the safety of public besides creating the situations of confusion and panic disrupting the traffic flow and causing road accidents.
The usage of tinted glass or black films
contributes to the criminal activities also, they said.
“Citizens are requested to adhere to the above legal provisions and avoid using the tinted glass or black films, sirens, multi-toned and musical horns on their vehicles and voluntarily remove them in advance if they are there on their vehicles,” said P Viswa Prasad, Additional Commissioner (Traffic), Hyderabad.
Citizens are also requested to report the traffic violations to Hyderabad Traffic Police on Hyderabad Traffic Police Facebook, X (Twitter) or Traffic Help Line (9010203626).
