The week commenced with some reprieve from summer heat as mercury dropped two notches on Monday as compared to Sunday.
Compared to the weekend, the sun was much less harsher in the morning and evening, though the afternoon had the temperature rising a bit. The weather monitoring teams logged in the day temperature in the city at 32.6 degree Celsius as against 34.6 degree Celsius of yesterday, an overnight drop by 2 degree Celsius.
However, in most districts across the State, the day temperatures remained a tad high with Adilabad recording the highest of 37.8 degree Celsius followed by Medak with 37.4 degree Celsius.
The night temperatures too remained high in most districts with 21 degree Celsius in Hanamkonda and 20.7 degree
Celsius in Adilabad. The district of Medak was the coolest of all on Sunday night with 16 degree Celsius. In the city and suburbs, Hayathnagar recorded 18 degree Celsius and Patancheru had 19.7 degree Celsius.
