Hyderabad shooter Esha Singh provided the silver lining for India clinching the silver in the women’s 25m sports pistol event in the ongoing World Cup shooting championship in Buenos Aires (Argentina) on Saturday.

It may be mentioned here that another Indian, Sift Kaur Samra, won the gold in the women’s 50m rifle three-position event on Friday.

The 20-year-old Esha qualified for the finals with a seventh-place finish but came back strongly just when it mattered and was just one point away from the eventual champion before the last series.

the day when Paris Olympics double medallist Manu Bhaker lost in the shoot-off and was placed sixth after having shot 585.

For the record, India won a gold, silver and a bronze medal each so far.
