Hyderabad's Nehru zoo goes online

Hyderabad: Minister for Forests and Environment, A Indrakaran Reddy launched the official website of Nehru Zoological Park www.nehruzoopark.in, here on Friday.

Visitors can now avail all the information about activities, animals, adoption details of zoo from the website and can also book the entry tickets. This online ticketing will come into effect once the zoo reopens for public.

As per the instructions of the Centre, State government and Central Zoo Authority, the zoo is closed for visitors due to the Covid-19 since March 15. It will



reopen to public only after receiving orders from government, a press release said.

On this occasion, Reddy greeted everyone on World Environment Day, being celebrated on the theme ‘Bio-Diversity’.

The zoo had conducted online slogan writing and quiz competition for students on the theme of Bio-diversity, wherein several students participated in the competitions. Winners will be declared on June 8 on twitter account of Nehru Zoological Park, the release added.
