HYDRAA (Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency) Commissioner AV Ranganath inspected an illegally constructed building on 684 yards at Ayyappa Society in Khanamet in Serilingampally here on Saturday.
Following complaints from locals regarding the construction of a multi-storied building with a cellar and ground floor, reportedly ignoring High Court order and GHMC notices, the HYDRAA, Revenue and GHMC officials inspected the building on the field level.
Ranganath reviewed the High Court orders along with the show cause notices
issued by the GHMC Chandanagar Circle officials. He took a serious note of the issue.
Officials said the GHMC issued show cause notices last year for demolition of the illegal structure. Later, the High Court also responding to a petition had ordered that action be taken against it, also confirming it as illegal construction.
Following which, the GHMC demolished only a part of the building, declaring it illegal. Recently, the local authorities brought this to the notice of the Commissioner, alleging that the construction continued without any attention.
