HYDRAA takes up demolitions in layout close to Ameenpur Lake

The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring Protection Agency (HYDRAA) took up demolitions of encroachments into plots close to Ameenpur Lake on Tuesday.

Following complaints from plot owners, HYDRAA took up the demolitions. According to plot owners, a key politician had developed a layout close to Ameenpur Pedda Cheruvu encroaching on already existing plots.

He developed the Padmavathi layout and sold them. These plot owners have been



fighting against the encroachment since 2006. However, they have found no support from officials.

The HYDRAA also took up the demolition work three months ago. However, the politician again built fencing around the land prompting the action from HYDRAA. The layout was spread over 24 acres in survey numbers 193, 194 and 323.

Plot owners alleged that former MLA Katasani Rambhupal Reddy and industrialist Sistla Lohith had encroached upon their lands.
