TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday struck a sombre note, saying he will sleep at home and take rest in case TRS loses at the hustings. “Take this seriously. If TRS loses, it is no personal loss to me.
What will happen? If you make us win, we will work with dedication, or else, I will sleep at home and take rest. But the loss will be that of the people and the state,” KCR said at a public meeting in Khanapur assembly constituency on Thursday. This was his first meeting in a series of meetings held at different constituencies on Thursday.
However, barring that, KCR, who has always spoken about the elections being a ‘one-sided war’, was confident that TRS would win
100 seats.
Explaining that TRS government had done things for the welfare of people, KCR said it was not really necessary for him to explain everything. “It is there in your own villages for you to see. Discuss about what the government has done and then make up your mind on voting. Don’t be misled by anyone,” he said.
KCR expressed confidence TRS would come back to power. He also unveiled plans of visiting every constituency with a battery of senior officials to know about the needs and meet them. He announced that his first such meeting would start from Khanapur itself from where party nominee Rekha Naik was seeking re-election.
