Sangareddy: The four-day 24th National Conference on Communications will commence at Indian Institute of Technology-Hyderabad (IIT-H) on Sunday.
The IIT-H, which is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary, is hosting the NCC for the first time. The event is a flagship conference of Government of India in the areas of Communications, Signal Processing and Networks. It is being organised every year, starting from the year 1995, by the Joint Telematics Group (JTG) of the Indian Institutes of Technology and the Indian Institute of
Science.
As part of NCC,a special joint session on 5G Initiatives and Telecom Standardisation in India is being organised by the Department of Telecom (DoT) and Telecommunications Standards Development Society, India (TSDSI).
N Sivasailam, Special Secretary, Department of Telecommunications, Government of India, will address a joint session at 11.30 am to 12.15 pm on February 27. A host of speakers including Prof PP Vaidyanathan, California Institute of Technology (Caltech), USA and Prof Lina J Karam, Arizona State University (ASU), USA.
