Karimnagar: Union Minister of State for Home, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, on Sunday said he was not in the race to become the BJP State president.

Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, Sanjay Kumar said that some of his followers were posting messages on social media stating that he would become the State president. Some media channels were also telecasting the news. Though they were posting messages on this out of affection for him, he was personally facing troubles since some sections were circulating wrong videos in social media against him. At the same time,

this was not good for the party either.

Terming reports on his return as State president as rumours, Sanjay said he had no thoughts of becoming the BJP state president. Moreover, the party had given him a major responsibility by appointing him as union minister, he said, appealing to his followers and the media not to share any posts on the subject on social media. He also said the party would take a collective decision on the State president and everybody would have to adhere to the party’s decision.
