The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rains under the influence of upper cyclonic circulation over Bay of Bengal and coastal Andhra Pradesh. Weather officials said the system was likely to intensify into a low pressure, causing heavy rains over coastal Andhra.
“The Hyderabad city has witnessed rains in the last few days which are comparatively higher than what it experiences during August. In fact, till Saturday, the city recorded a whopping 114mm of
rainfall which happens to be the highest rains in the last seven years in August,“
A cyclonic circulation over Northeast Madhya Pradesh and a trough extending from Odisha up to Tamil Nadu in proximity of Telangana. In the next 24 hours, the city as well as other parts of Telangana are expected to witness a good spell of showers. These rains will be of light to moderate intensity with the possibility of heavy spells of rains in isolated pockets.
