Indian Meteorological Department (IMD)-Hyderabad on Friday evening in its weather forecast issued a heat wave alert for several districts of Telangana.

According to the forecast, heat wave conditions are likely to prevail in Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla and Peddapalli, for the next three-days.

“The maximum temperatures are likely to rise gradually by 2 degree Celsius to 4 degree Celsius during the next three-days. Dry weather will continue through the State,” the IMD-Hyderabad forecast said.

The maximum temperatures are likely to hover between 41 degree Celsius and 44 degree Celsius in districts for which the heat wave conditions alert has been



issued. Temperatures in Hyderabad and neighboring districts are likely to remain under 40 degree Celsius, the IMD Hyderabad forecast indicated.

The maximum temperatures in Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Vikarabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Sangareddy and Medak will hover between 36 degree Celsius and 40 degree Celsius, the forecast said.

Meanwhile, the average maximum temperatures between Thursday and 8 am on Friday in Hyderabad ranged from 38 degree Celsius to 39 degree Celsius degree Celsius, weather data from Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) said.

Similarly, the maximum temperatures in almost all the districts of Telangana State hovered between 40 degree Celsius and 40.9 degree Celsius, the TSDPS data indicated.
