IMD predicts heavy rain for Telangana

This weekend is likely to see heavy rains across Telangana with July 1 (Monday) expected to witness heavy to very heavy rain, India Meteorological Department said on Thursday.

Though IMD said the Southwest Monsoon was weak over the State for the third day running, it said beginning Saturday, isolated



places could expect some good rains. Overall, for the coming four days beginning Friday, IMD said Telangana could look forward to light to moderate rain or thundershowers in many places. Isolated places recorded between 5 cm and 1 cm of rains between Wednesday and Thursday, IMD said.
