The officials of Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) informed that an upper air cyclonic circulation lay over south Odisha and north Andhra Pradesh coasts. “Under its influence, low pressure area is very likely to form over northwest Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood during next 48 hours resulting in heavy to very heavy rains across the State,” said the duty officer at IMD regional centre in
Hyderabad.
Heavy to very heavy rain is very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Adilabad, Kumram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Peddapalle, Jagitial, Karminagar, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Warangal, Mahbubabad, Jangaon, Khammam, Suryapet, Nalgonda and Nagarkurnool during next two days. The highest rainfall of 13 cm was reported in Khammam town, Chinthakam and Kusumanchi, all in Khammam district.
