Impressive parade by army and police personnel marks R-Day fete

An impressive parade by the army and police personnel marked the celebrations of 68th Republic Day on Thursday at Secunderabad Parade grounds in the presence of Governor E S L Narasimhan and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

The programme which began at 10.30 am lasted for one and a half hour and delighted the audience. Apart from the Governor and Chief Minister, former Governor K Rosaiah, Deputy Chief Ministers K Srihari and Mohd Mahmood Ali, Speaker of Assembly, Chairman of Legislative Council, Air



Vice Marshal Upkarjit Singh (AVSM), ministers, legislators and others were present.

The parade was led by Group Captain Satish A Nawatte and 18 Dogra Regiment, Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Brigade, Indian Air Force, fourth Battalion of Telangana Special Force, Odisha State Police, Telangana Special Protection Force, NCC boys, Girls, Bharat Scouts and Guides, Telangana Residential Social Welfare Educational Institutions Society and Telangana Residential Educational Institutions society.
