In Telangana, incessant rains continue to lash several parts of the state. Though the flood situation at Bhadrachalam in River Godavari came to normal, heavy inflows are reaching various projects across River Krishana and Gadavari due to heavy rains in catchment areas.
Meanwhile, relief measures in flood hit Warangal district are continuing while enumeration of losses is on. Meanwhile, Met officials warned that heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely for two more days in 16 out of 33 districts of the state.
Many parts of the state are witnessing heavy rainfall for almost a week and met officials have warned that heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at several places for
the next two days. Flood waters receded at most rain affected areas especially in North and eastern parts of the state while relief measures and enumeration activity are underway.
As per initial estimations, about 1000 crore rupees worth crop and property losses occurred due to heavy rains that lashed several parts of the state last week. Meanwhile, heavy inflows are reaching major projects like Srisailam, across River Krishna due to heavy rains in the catchment areas for the past few days. Following met officials warning of heavy rains for a few more days, the district authorities have been put on to take up necessary relief and rescue measures.
