IndiaJoy, a media and digital entertainment expo supported by the Telangana government commenced on Sunday at Hitex.
The five-day event facilitated by the Telangana VFX, Animation and Gaming Association (TVAGA) is divided into B2B area for business, B2C for gamers from December 2 to 6.
Speaking at the inaugural, IT secretary Jayesh Ranjan said, “Hyderabad has witnessed tremendous growth and dynamism in the media and digital industry sector in the last few years, and has far outperformed all other sectors. At this juncture giving a bigger push to the sector by organising a mega event like Indiajoy makes a lot of strategic sense for the government. The government will continue to extend crucial support to the sector keeping in view the
huge growth potential.”
As many as 25,000 delegates, 15+ events, 300 exhibitors, 500 speakers from 30 countries took part in the debut Indiajoy Expo on Sunday.
“We expect more inward investments, more interest among the people to take up a career in the sector, and the emergence of a comprehensive and integrated eco system,” Mr Jayesh added.
The series of events include keynote, workshops, unite, virtual augmented mixed reality, Anthill Studios startup pitch, and indian gaming expo while the evening will culminate with music festival, an e-sports carnival in association with Playmax is another attraction with a range of PC games, Console games to indulge.
