Indian Science Congress postponed indefinitely

The Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) on Thursday postponed indefinitely the Indian Science Congress scheduled to be hosted by the Osmania University here from January 3 to 7.

The reason cited, according to varsity officials was the “uncertainty that prevailed on the campus”.The university said it hoped that Congress would be held in the near future after holding



further discussions with the ISCA.

”Till last night, we had a series of meeting with officials of various departments. Without any communication to the university, the ISCA has postponed the event. The university will strongly pitch for holding the conference on the campus in a meeting scheduled with ISCA on December 27,” another senior official said.
