The Electronics and
Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC) inaugurated it’s flagship
event Indiasoft 2017 in Hyderabad on Monday. The two-day event, to be held
on February 13 and 14, has about 400 foreign buyers from 60 countries and
it also saw about close to 250 Indian ICT firms are displaying the project.
The 17th edition of
Indiasoft is supported by the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry. ESC
executive director D K Sareen said that Indiasoft 2017 has been designed
keeping in mind to project India’s tier 2 and 3
capabilities.Giving an overview
of the software development and IT enabled services, Sareeb opined that around
90 per cent India’s software and ITeS export is with US and Europe wherein US
accounts for 60 per cent of that share.
Indiasoft seeks to enhance the visibility of Indian software industry especially the SMEs and startup companies. The focus would be on business services, esecurity, finance, banking, insurance, manufacturing, education and training, embedded software, animation, packaged software and others.
