Emphasizing the need for encouraging courts to function during morning, evening sessions and holidays for providing speedy justice to common man by spontaneous clearance of pending cases, Telangana Law Minister A Indrakaran Reddy today vouched for setting up of commercial courts.

Indrakaran Reddy represented the Telangana State at a national conference of all Chief Ministers and Judges of High Courts addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Supreme Court Chief Justice T S Thakur at Vignan Bhavan in New Delhi on Sunday. The conference was shell- shocked to witness CJI in tears blaming inaction of executive and government to increase number of judges to 40,000 from 21,000 to clear “avalanche” of cases being thrown on the judiciary.

Our Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has plans to work in this direction by constructing adequate number of courts in the districts and towns”, he said, adding that the TRS Government was committed for speedy justice system.

“We are in favour of providing land, basic facilities and infrastructure to build new courts. It may be said here that KCR recently announced to extend all help for an alternate justice system of Lok Adalats that will avoid the hassles and deliver spontaneous solutions to the pending cases. Indrakaran Reddy also said the Telangana State government was in favour of encouraging courts during morning and evening sessions and also during holidays to clear the pending cases. “Our Chief Minister would take a decision in this regard soon”, the minister remarked.
