Industries and IT Minister, K T Rama Rao on Wednesday said special industrial parks and skill development centres would be set up exclusively for women soon.
Participating in the International Women’s Day celebrations at Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) here, he said if women entrepreneurs came forward to set up industries, government would extend all incentives. “The government had identified three industrial locations exclusively for women industrialists at Sultanpur, Toopran and Nandigama and named them as ILA, he said.
On the occasion, he also handed over land allocation documents of 50 acres at Sultanpur to FICCI Ladies Organisation. The Minister also sanctioned Rs



1.88 crore for providing basic amenities at Kove Industrial Park, Toopran.He said Telangana government was committed to the empowerment of women. Women industrialists under FICCI, Confederation of Women Entreprenuers (COWE) and Association of Ladies Entreprenuers of AP (ALEAP) were working hard and the results were encouraging, he said, adding that the government was ready to allocate another 100 acres land exclusively for women’s industrial park and skill development training centres.
“Government is seriously considering setting up an industrial clinic center to reopen sick industries. Discussions are underway to increase the subsidy and incentives for setting up of industries,” the Minister said.
