Industries minister K.T. Rama Rao on Wednesday said that several companies and industries expressed their interest in setting up their business activities in Hyderabad.

Rama Rao was speaking at the inauguration of INSPIRE's Hyderabad Innovation Center at Phoenix Centaurus in the Financial District.

The minister said that it was his distinct pleasure to welcome INSPIRE to Telangana and the vibrant city of Hyderabad. "We are glad that INSPIRE, the global powerhouse in the culinary world, has chosen Hyderabad to set up their Global Capability Center - the INSPIRE’s ‘Hyderabad Innovation Center’," Rama Rao said.

INSPIRE is a global multi-brand restaurant company, whose portfolio includes more than 32,000 Arby’s, Baskin Robbins, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dunkin’, Jimmy John’s and SONIC globally. The company is headquartered in Atlanta of Georgia. The company first announced plans to set up an innovation

centre in Hyderabad during a meeting of its executive team with Rama Rao at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Summit in Davos, in January 2023.

INSPIRE has a huge base of restaurants globally, employing 650,000 dedicated team members, both company and franchise, and $31 billion in system sales.

INSPIRE choosing Hyderabad to be a part of its growth plans is a strong testimony to Telangana’s potential as a growing hub for innovation and
digital transformation.

During Rama Rao's Davos tour, INSPIRE brands management announced the setting up of a support centre in Hyderabad. The centre will provide support across four verticals, such as IT infrastructure and development operations, restaurant tech, digital tech and enterprise data.

The announcement was made after a virtual meeting between INSPIRE and Rama Rao.
