Inspector’s wife complains of dowry harrasment to Hyderabad Police Commissioner

A city police inspector’s wife complained to the Hyderabad Police Commissioner, CV Anand alleging that she was being tortured by her husband and harassed for additional dowry. 

P Sandhya, wife of K Narasimha, who is working at Abids police station, on Saturday told media persons that since the time of marriage her husband has been harassing and torturing her. Due to the harassment, her parents and



relatives arranged money and gave to Narasimha.

“My husband is now asking me to arrange Rs.16 lakh and threatening to divorce me. I have approached the police commissioner and demanded action against my husband,” Sandhya alleged. The police higher-ups have ordered an inquiry into the complaint. However, the Inspector, K Narasimha denied the allegations and said he would reply and give an explanation to his higher ups.
