Nizamabad: An inter-State highway at Kandukurthi Triveeni Sangamam in Nizamabad district was submerged completely due to heavy rain water from the Godavari River.
Though rains in the district receded for the few days, the inflows from the river continued submerging the highway. The police officials are not allowing motorists to travel on the highway because of rain water on
it.
With the help of villagers, the police are maintaining a constant vigil at the highway to restrict the movement of people.
The district administration is contemplating to take up repair works once the water levels are reduced. Several parts of Nizamabad district were receiving heavy rain for the last few days when compared to other districts.
