Hyderabad: Noted expert in State irrigation matters and Advisor (Irrigation), Telangana State government, R. Vidyasagar Rao is in a critical condition at the Intensive Care Unit of Continental Hospitals. Doctors said that Vidyasagar is on ventilator support.
For the past one year, the top irrigation expert has been battling terminal bladder cancer, which according to physicians from Continental Hospitals has spread across his body including lungs and brain.
Last year April, Vidyasagar Rao underwent surgery for bladder cancer in United States and it was followed by chemotherapy
sessions. After the completion of the chemotherapy sessions, however, his condition relapsed and Vidyasagar Rao had to be admitted to Continental Hospitals.
Chief Minister, K. Chandrashekhar Rao is keeping a close track of Vidyasagar’s health condition and also has spoken to the MD, Continental Hospitals, Dr. Guru N Reddy.
According to hospital doctors, Vidyasagar Rao is under close watch in the ICU and based on discussion with the family members, a decision has been made to keep him on ventilator. Doctors said that the health condition of Vidyasagar Rao is critical.
