IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao has challenged the Congress president Rahul Gandhi to waive farm loans in Karnataka at one go, instead of unleashing Congress state leadership on Telangana government with criticism on farm loans waived here in four phases.
KTR, who was addressing thousands of educated youth in Mahabubnagar during the pylon inauguration for setting up an IT and multi-purpose industrial park said that Rahul Gandhi was misleading the people by tweeting on Saturday that Karnataka government headed by Congress had waived all the farm loans in Karnataka
.
“Just a few days ago I had met Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy and asked him how farm loan waiver was being done there. He told me that Karnataka government was following all schemes of Telangana government and farm loan waiver was not any different,” he said.
“On one hand Congress leaders here criticize Telangana government for waiving farm loans in four phases and on the other hand they are following the example of Telangana in Karnataka where they formed the government. I dare Congress party to waive the entire farm loans in one go in Karnataka before criticizing us,” he challenged Rahul Gandhi.
