Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Thursday lauded the Annual Budget for 2018-19 introduced in the Telangana State Legislature by the government, and said it would help in the development of all sectors besides ensuring welfare of all communities.
Congratulating Finance Minister Etela Rajender for presenting a balanced budget, the Chief Minister said the estimates were prepared to strike a balance between balance between the resources of Telangana State government, its needs and the aims and objectives of the government. The Chief Minister also congratulated Principle Secretary
(Finance) Ramakrishna Rao and Advisor G R Reddy for preparing the yearly financial plan for effective implementation of the government’s programmes, plans and schemes.
Chandrashekhar Rao expressed happiness over greater allocations for the agriculture sector on which a great majority of people are dependent.
More allocations for irrigation projects, Crop Investment Support scheme and power subsidies would help in the successful implementation of programmes aimed at developing the farm sector in a big way as envisaged by the government.
