Speaking about India’s growth in global enterprise and adding that India has a true friend in the White House, she said, “Through your own enterprise, entrepreneurship, and hard work, the people of India have lifted more than 130 million citizens out of poverty – a remarkable improvement, and will surely continue to grow under the leadership of Prime
Minister.”
On women empowerment, Ivanka Trump said, “Only when women are empowered to thrive; will our families, our economies, and our societies reach their fullest potential. In the last decade, women have made remarkable strides in starting new businesses. Today, more than 11 million women in the United States own businesses. They employ nearly 9 million workers, and generate over $1 trillion in revenue.”
She further spoke about US administration being committed to ensuring that woman and man get equal opportunities apart from the long overdue tax cut to provide relief to working families and businesses.
Ending her address, Ivanka urged India to consider closing the labor-force gender gap by half which would result in the economic growth to rise by over $150 billion in the next 3 years.
