US President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump who will be in the city for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) on November 28-29 is likely to visit Taj Falaknuma Palace.
A special police team carried out security checks at the hotel on Sunday as part of the bandobust planned for the prestigious event, which will be attended by global leaders with the US business delegation led by Ivanka.According to a senior police official, the city police are planning the security measures in coordination with the Intelligence Security Wing, Special Protection Group and a team from the US Secret Service.
“For the past one month, a watch is being maintained at the hotel. In order to prevent security lapses, aspects of internal security and procedures are being studied
thoroughly,” the official said.
Security has been beefed up along all routes leading to the hotel — from Rajendranagar, Bandlaguda, Aramghar and Chandrayanagutta. Drafting of a security plan with various intelligence and police sources also include TS Special Police, Armed Reserve and Greyhounds and Octopus, the source said.
Even the hotel management, sources said, The Nizam Suite and the dining hall — which is reputed as the world’s largest dining table — was reserved for Ivanka. “So far, there is no information from the US officials on where she is going to have the dinner. However, it is expected that Ivanka might have dinner with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for which required arrangements are under consideration,” the official added.
