The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Telangana Employees, Gazetted Officers, Teachers, Pensioners and Workers of Telangana met Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar here on Wednesday.

They submitted a representation requesting that the government obtain the PRC report at the earliest and implement it with effect from July 1, 2018. In their representation, the JAC leaders said the PRC was appointed in May 2018 for the implementation of new pay scales for government employees with effect from July 1, 2018. They said though the PRC was appointed for three months, its term was extended, resulting in apprehensions among employees over revision of pay scales and resolving other pending issues.

TNGOs State president and JAC president K Ravinder Reddy said the PRC was not only appointed for pay revision, but also to study other issues of employees. “While the PRC report is ready and likely to be submitted to the State

government in the next one month, the Commission will study issues pertaining to employees and submit a report to the government before December 31. Government employees need not worry about the extension of the term of PRC,” he said.

He said the Chief Secretary assured to discuss the issue with all government employees, workers and pensioners organisations, promising to submit the PRC report shortly.

TGOs president and JAC general secretary V Mamatha allayed fears being expressed over the extension of term of PRC among employees and pensioners. She asserted that the JAC will soon meet Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and take up the issue for the speedy implementation of the PRC. “We are confident that the Chief Minister understands our concerns and is responding positively to our requests. We will meet him shortly for implementing the PRC,” she said.
