Public Undertakings Committee (PUC) Chairman A Jeevan Reddy slammed TPCC president A Revanth Reddy for politicising Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said the Congress leader lacked political maturity.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao raised 12 important issues such as setting up Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, IPS cadre review, Hyderabad- Nagpur industrial corridor. These issues were pertaining to State’s development, said Jeevan Reddy while addressing media persons here on Thursday.
Punjab Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Amarender Singh met Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee fights against Prime Minister on various issues but she too met him to discuss different aspects, he pointed out adding that such meetings should not be politicised. “Congress leader Rahul Gandhi met China Ambassador several times, can that be considered as an anti-national
meeting,” Jeevan Reddy said while taking a dig at the TPCC chief.
The PUC chairman found fault with Revanth Reddy for casting aspersions on MIM. Revanth Reddy should bear in mind that Congress party backs the Muslim league in Kerala and Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, he said and questioned as to why the Congress was extending its support to them.
Taking strong objection to the TPCC chief’s foul language, he wanted the Congress leader to mend his ways.
Despite BJP MP Tejaswi Surya commenting on Chandrashekhar Rao, TRS working president KT Rama Rao presented a memento to the MP in the past. Is this good culture, he said sarcastically.
He accused the TPCC chief of propagating false information on social media by hiring few persons. “At a time, when we are striving for social engineering in the State, Revanth Reddy was working on social media engineering,” Jeevan Reddy criticised.
